5 Easy Ways to Promote Your Business

- Do something for FREE to get your business jump started for someone you know to build your portfolio and skill.

- Tell a friend, coworker and family members what you do so they can help get the word out. A closed mouth will not get you more business.

- Get business cards. This is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to get your business out there. Make sure it's clean and your business is easily understood by the name, slogan and services you offer. Consider adding a special on the opposite side of the card to give people an incentive to use your services. Keep them on hand and give them out when you can.

- Create social media pages for your business. More people you don't know will see your business and portfolio for FREE. You can promote discounts, sales, services and images of your work online for FREE. Curiosity draws in potential customers.

- Try posting your business on groupon, Locilly or half off depot and take advantage of their large email database. It it may be at a discount to them but more people get to view your business in your email and that is FREE ADVERTISMENT that you won't be able to get anywhere else.

So I was on a search to find an app/software to create videos of my computer screen like you see on youtube. I read review after review. Some where expensive and with others, there were too many complaints. I finally ran across this one by accident in the comments section of a post of the 5 best videos and the funny thing is it wasn't listed. It's called Screencast-O-Matic.

The audio output is great, the recording is crisp and the best part is the pricing structure. You can use the free option with a watermark that will be present on all your uploaded videos. If you don't want the watermark visible, you can choose from their 2 plans of $12/year or $29/year. I wish I would have purchased the 3 year because this thing works perfect!!! You simply expand it out to the appear you want to appear in the video via the white anchor points and click the red button to record or Option+P. After recording, the option to save to computer or upload to Youtube will appear. It's pretty simple. Enjoy!
